Temporary Devices

Should your personal iPad require repair or while you await the arrival of a new device, the school provides temporary iPads to ensure your learning can continue uninterrupted. Please understand that these devices are intended for short-term use only and should not be considered a permanent replacement. Access will be limited to essential school-provided applications. It’s crucial to report any damage to the loaner iPad or its case to IT support immediately. Kindly note that these temporary devices may be collected during school holidays for necessary maintenance and inventory checks.

Year 11 iPads

Should you have any questions regarding the process of releasing an iPad from management, or if you need to arrange the return of a school-owned device, please contact our IT Department at iPad@bohunthorsham.com. To assist you efficiently, kindly include the student’s name and the device’s serial number in your email.

If you have an iPad you’d like to donate, please get in touch with us at iPad@bohunthorsham.com or drop it at the main office. Your generosity can make a real difference in their educational journey!

Important FAQs

  • Students can borrow a temporary iPad (if available) by filling out a quick form for their tutor
  • If a student’s iPad is broken or is awaiting service, we will provide a temporary iPad when available. Please be patient as we have 1,620 students, so temporary devices may not be available for everyone
  • To verify if JAMF is installed on a student’s iPad, navigate to Settings. If the device is listed as ‘supervised and managed by Bohunt Horsham,’ JAMF is active.
This is what will be displayed in Settings on an enrolled JAMF iPad:
  • Students experiencing issues accessing required school applications should be directed to the IT Office during break or lunchtime
  • JAMF/School restrictions will be active from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM on school days. Please note that it may take a few minutes for these changes to take effect
  • The school will NOT replace any broken screen protectors, iPad pens or case (You will need to contact your insurance provider)
  • If you’ve purchased your own iPad outside of school and it’s broken, we can only provide a temporary device if you can show proof of the device being repaired
  • Y11 pupils will be removed from JAMF after leaving school
  • If you have any questions about anything iPad-related, please email: iPad@bohunthorsham.com
Note: Please include the student’s name, year group, and device serial number in the email
