We are a free school, home to students in years 7 to 11 in our purpose-built building just north of Horsham, West Sussex. In September 2024 we welcomed our first cohort of reception children, which signalled the start of the next phase of our development which will see us become an all-through school for 1620 students aged 4-16 with a nursery facility.
We are proud to be part of the supportive and innovative Bohunt Education Trust, a MAT with nine schools including two Sixth Forms and a boarding facility. We may be separated geographically, however, all BET schools share an uncompromising belief in high achievement and high expectations, a real sense of community and a dynamic, innovative approach to education.
Every BET school is unique, with its own distinctive identity. Since opening our doors to 120 Year 7 students in September 2019 in a temporary building, on Hurst Road, we have been unwavering in our high expectations. We have delivered on our promise to ensure specialist teaching spaces for subjects such as art, music, drama, PE and science and have offered a broad range of extra-curricular clubs, visits and experiences from day one. Our founding families recognised this commitment to high-quality provision and, unusually for a new school, we were full in our first year.
Our founding students are motivated leaders and role models, who quickly established a vibrant and caring school community and of whom we are very proud and miss dearly when they left us after their GCSEs in June 2024.
Our home on Bailey Road is an expansive green fields site, with excellent facilities in all areas of the curriculum such as sports, technologies (including a robotics laboratory), expressive and performing arts, an outdoor classroom for both primary and secondary students and shared specialist teaching spaces designed for safe and effective use by students across all educational phases.
